Aims

1. To expose students to a range of art made by Global artists in order to broaden knowledge.

2. To introduce students to the diversity of practices and techniques employed outside of Europe and the
USA.

3. To inform students about the complex social and historical contexts for the production of Global Art.

Learning Outcomes

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Typical sessions could include - Art of: parts of Africa, the Caribbean, South-East Asia, Australasia, Middle East, South America.
Module Overview:
This module will expose students to a range of art made by Global artists in order to broaden knowledge and introduce students to the diversity of practices and techniques employed outside of Europe and the USA.
Additional Information:
This module introduces students to the content, practices of and individuals or institutions associated with Global art. Students are also exposed to the social and cultural contexts behind Global art.
