Aims

The aim of this module is to introduce the concept of person-centred assessment and care provision.

Learning Outcomes

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Human development across the lifespan (NMC 3.1)

Anatomy and physiology (NMC 3.2) 

Recognising self harm/suicidal ideation (NMC 3.10)

Dignity, sleep and privacy (NMC 4.1)

Evidence base related to bladder and bowel health, nutrition and hydration (NMC 4.6)

Anxiety, discomfort and pain (NMC 4.8)

Medicines management and optimisation and drug calculations (NMC 4.14)  * Content to be applied to field
Module Overview:
This module will facilitate you to understand key anatomy and physiology and physical and psychological health across the lifespan.  The module will explore the impact of medicines, develop your understanding of pharmacology, and how these link to your ability to deliver effective person centred care.
