Module Overview:
This module is designed to provide students with the essential skills necessary for success in their youth work course and future careers. The module covers a range of study skills, including academic writing, critical thinking, time management, and research skills. Additionally, students will learn about the importance of self-care and well-being in maintaining academic success. Through a combination of theoretical learning, practical exercises, and reflective activities, students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their studies and beyond.

Delivery Format:

This will be a distance learning module, utilising a variety of digital tools and platforms to facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences.

 

Online Lectures:

Lectures will be pre-recorded and made available to students through the online learning platform. These lectures will cover key concepts, theories, and principles related to youth work, and will be supplemented with additional resources such as readings, videos, and case studies.

 

Online Seminars:

Seminars will be conducted live via video conferencing tools. These sessions will provide students with the opportunity to discuss and debate key issues in youth work, facilitated by module tutors. Seminars may also include breakout group discussions and interactive activities.
