Aims

1. To understand the role of interior designer in the industry. 2. To develop design awareness and practical skills to create a design for a domestic space. 3. To explore three-dimensional thinking and analysis to plan an interior space 4. To realise an outcome through the production of scale drawings, mood boards and sample boards.

Learning Outcomes

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:• Client brief analysis • Concept boards • Scale drawing at scale 1:20 • Scaled plans and elevations • Hard finishes • Rendering techniques • Sample boards • Presentation methods for mounting work
Additional Information:This module will develop students' understanding of the interior design industry. They will learn to plan interior space using relevant technical devices like mood boards and specialist drawing techniques. Students will also develop and awareness of the interior design field by researching examples from key designers- in terms of both interior design and three-dimensional design.
