Aims

In this module students combine skills and techniques used in Advanced Facilitation, Critical Perspectives and Executive Effectiveness to develop a specific career path, plan or opportunity.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Synthesise practical drama work, reflective practice, research informed decision making and executive effectiveness in a specific theatre/drama project.
2.
Distil and appraise broad career plans and formulate a realisable project as a step towards a larger career goal.
3.
Demonstrate a high level of autonomy, initiative and an ability to adhere to their own agreed working strategies and objectives.
4.
Demonstrate an advanced ability to design and deliver workshop processes that synthesise both creative and critical approaches in both forging community and addressing a specific issue or concern.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
The project will be negotiated with the module leader at an early point in the course leading to the development of a learning contract. Thereafter support will be given through tutorials. The project should function as a step towards a career goal by developing a new strand of work, mode of operation or other professional innovation. The project should involve practical drama work though the balance of practice to professional process can negotiated with the supervisor.
