Aims
This module aims to apply the technical skills learnt from previous modules to a simulated professional production setting. You will be supported in a full-scale professional production that is performed in a professional performance space to a public audience. You will learn how to apply the skills learnt in a live environment over multiple performance dates. This module also aims to give you an understanding of how to work on a piece of new writing for theatre.

Exhibit integrated acting, voice and movement techniques required for a professional production

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
The module will test your development, synthesising and applying methods explored in the Acting Technique modules. This module will examine the synthesis of advanced acting principles in a professional public performance setting. Students may engage with a piece of new writing that has been commissioned or devised for the cohort. Students will evidence this process and their developing methodological approach in a viva at the end of the process.

Module Overview:
In this module the training focuses upon an intensive rehearsal, technical and production process, as you embark upon a fully supported production with technical crew, set, costume, lighting, and sound design in one of the main performance venues to a public audience. Working with a professional director to further develop creative and technical skills within a professionally simulated production environment you will continue to develop an acute understanding of the industry standards required of the contemporary professional creative artist.
