Module Overview:
This module is delivered as part of a fully Online Programme. It will provide a grounding in policy and research for educational professionals with an interest in developing their understanding of an aspect around a current issue in education.

This module is designed to equip students with an understanding of the broad context of educational research and prepare them to conduct appropriate research in the 7507MALED Research Project (dissertation) module.
Additional Information:
The module is a core activity for all students and provides a grounding in theory, research and practice. It provides an opportunity for students to carry out a piece of in-depth research - including the option of a library-based / desktop study, negotiated with individual supervisors and of relevance to the educational context. This will be largely independent, but with regular individual support from an assigned supervisor.

Note: this module is shared between the MA Leadership in Education and MA Education programmes.
