Aims
The aim of this module is to investigate research questions which will inform the personal and professional development of students and examine the methodologies for addressing the questions identified and conduct research and evaluate findings.
Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate professional practice.
2.
Propose a complex creative and research project which addresses professional
development needs.
3.
Practise specialist skills in the process of theatre making and/or the techniques of
performance practice.
4.
Collaborate and project manage at an advanced level and critically deploy
sophisticated creative strategies and mature partnerships in a complex
professional working environment.
5.
Create complex documentation that critically records working processes and
progress.
6.
Devise a sophisticated practice as research methodology.
7.
Gather and critically interpret evidence.
8.
Present sophisticated arguments for the making of performance and reach
complex conclusions.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The module will consider critical ideas and public policy and their relationship to the individual practices of the students. Students will be asked to undertake self reflection and career analysis and determine key questions that will inform their development and understanding of their craft. A range of practice as research and other research methodologies will be considered and the design of research will be investigated before student propose approaches to the investigations within their final practice project.
The module then provides the opportunity for a student to propose and deliver a creative practice project which addresses professional priorities identified through careful self-reflection and critical analysis. The project is individually supervised
