Aims
This module provides students with a solid understanding of arbitration. This module has been designed to provide a detailed overview of the international arbitration practice and procedure. Students will gain a practical understanding of the process relating to arbitration including appointment of arbitrators and the hearing itself. The drafting of agreements and a comparative between legislation and institutional rules and advantages/disadvantages of these will also be evaluated.

• Jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal
• Appointment of arbitrators
• The arbitral process
• The arbitral hearing
• The award
• Award enforcement
