Aims

The aim of this module is to critically evaluate organisational strategy through the application of the consultancy cycle to implement Organisational Development (OD) interventions that enable organisational effectiveness and performance.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Evaluate the appropriateness and application of diagnostic models, frameworks and approaches when analysing complex problems.
2.
Demonstrate advanced and integrated knowledge in planning, implementing and evaluating organisation development interventions theories and put into practice in order to create and promote sustainable business.
3.
Identify and explore the relationship between organisational development and organisational design and the achievement of strategic objectives.
4.
Critically apply a range of consultancy approaches and strategies.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
OD cycle, diagnostic and dialogic tools and interventions, OD practitioner, analysis of organisational strategy, development of an OD strategy.
Module Overview:
This is a specialist module on the programme for the Organisational Development pathway and will build upon previous learning, analysing and evaluating organisational strategy to provide solutions to meet Organisational Development needs.   In addition the module will have a strong focus on approaches and tools to inform Organisational Development strategy development.
