Aims

This module aims to support the development of skills and knowledge to understand the theory and application of learning design to meet the needs of organisations. Learners will be introduced to a range of learning design theories as well as developing coaching and mentoring skills which can be applied to drive an appropriate learning and development strategy and culture to enhance organisational capability.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Critically evaluate a range of learning design theories to be applied to organisational development needs.
2.
Critically evaluate different channels, methods and approaches to select appropriate solutions to meet the development needs of organisations.
3.
Critically analyse and develop coaching and mentoring capability and capacity to support the culture and development of practice.
4.
Critically evaluate and apply the skills and knowledge required to initiate and drive an appropriate coaching and mentoring strategy to enhance the effectiveness and capability of people within an organisation.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
Psychology of learning.  Learning Design: ADDIE model, SAMR, Training Cycle, Human Centred design.   Learning Methods including appropriate use of technology and AI.  Coaching and Mentoring:  GROW model,  7C's, Coaching Model, OSCAR model.  Linking learning theories to the design of learning interventions to meet the needs of organisations and their people.
Module Overview:
This module aims to support the development of skills and knowledge to understand the theory and application of learning design to meet the needs of organisations. Learners will be introduced to a range of learning design theories as well as developing coaching and mentoring skills which can be applied to drive an appropriate learning and development strategy and culture to enhance organisational capability.

This a specialist module for the Learning and Development pathway. The module will include consideration of sustainability, safety and wellbeing.
