Aims
This module aims to unpack the future of work by engaging with the social and ethical transformations unfolding in the world of work. Looks at how changes and experiences and possibilities for work impact life chances, along the lines of social and global inequalities and the influence of legislation. This module also aims to provide students with an understanding of financial planning and forecasting, the factors that affect it and the processes and techniques used in forecasting budgets.
Learning Outcomes

Critically analyse the impact of changing business contexts on complex organisations and the resulting critical challenges.

Critically analyse workplace situations and take justified decisions with effective use of financial resources.

Critically evaluate the competing business, legislative, ethical and social drivers for equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging

Outline Syllabus:
- Introduction to the future of work.
- The meaning of work. Building capacity to delivery business outcomes.
- Finance - financial planning and forecasting.
- People analytics and added value.
- Leading and managing EDIB, EDIB and contemporary socio demographics.
- The impact and influences of legislation.
Module Overview:
This module will introduce learners to contemporary changes in the world of work by interrogating how interventions have changed the meaning of work, what new forms of work and employment relations have emerged, and the economic, social and ethical implications. In doing so, learners will also have an opportunity to consider financial aspects of the world of work from an organisational position.
