Aims
To enable health and social care professionals to maximise learning opportunities and experiences relevant to their own area of practice to facilitate personal and professional development.

Module Overview:
This module focuses on putting your theoretical learning into practical use.

Additional Information:The assessment has three elements: Development of a 1000-word practice-based reflective portfolio; a 3500-word practice based written assessment. A learning agreement is drawn up by the student, practice assessor and academic assessor for both assessment elements.
The module involves academic and practice tutorial of 5 hours each, which is further supported by a range of learning support tools.

The students will have access to a VLE site and the University's other range of electronic support such as access to the electronic library facilities. The module VLE site reflects contemporary reading lists and links to journal articles. The module VLE site also includes a number of presentations for students to access on areas such as critical writing and library support. The students also have access to the module leader through emails and face to face tutorials. A module guide is also provided, which guides students to the wider range of support available. Students will have an identified practice assessor and academic assessor who will offer tutorial support and guidance for assessment. An Off-Campus Support Gateway is available for students, staff who wish to access LJMU computing, and information resources while off-campus. This service is aimed particularly at distance learners, part-time, placement and learning at work students
