Aims

To enable students to develop the skills necessary to plan and execute a research project that is relevant to their area of study. To effectively communicate research outcomes to an appropriate audience.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:This will be negotiated between the supervisor and the student. The 15 hours tutorial support will be delivered via both group and 1:1 supervision
Module Overview:
You will undertake either an empirical research study or desk-based systematic review (6,000 words).

You will negotiate and agree the topic with your supervisor. 15 hours tutorial support will be delivered via both group and one to one supervision.
Additional Information:The dissertation module offers students an opportunity to explore in-depth an area of personal or professional interest that relates to their programme of study. In doing this, they will expand their research skills and apply what they have learned in the earlier modules to their research project. The Academic Assessor will monitor that the student is completing their hours. This includes any practice placement learning and simulated practice learning, in accordance with the students programme plan. Please note that workshop hours as listed in the above contact hours account for simulated theoretical learning, in accordance with NMC standard 3.4
