3.
Apply conceptual understanding to synthesise evidence with a view to changing and advancing practice
4.
Critically evaluate the complexities of developing and leading change in clinical practice and develop original and autonomous responses to this
5.
Critically reflect on the roles of education, learning and development in advancing practice

Module Content

Module Overview:
This module's objectives are to develop students' critical awareness of how the Advanced Practice pillars inform practice development and enable them to independently advance clinical practice through critical appraisal and evidence evaluation.
Additional Information:
The module consists of series of taught sessions and student-led workshops (seminars) enabling the students to prepare for their dissertation. The taught sessions will focus on the pillars of advanced practice, education, research and leadership as a continuum, recognising their foundations within the ACP role. This continuum will be reflected in the assessment which takes the student on a journey from identifying a gap in clinical practice, undertaking a literature review, recommending a change in practice, through to educating those affected by the change in practice, enabling the student to recognise the inter-dependency of the pillars. This module will be used to prepare for the EPA assessment.
