Aims

To develop learners appreciation of the psychology of educational leadership through examination of the history of leadership, connection of theories to practice and contextual educational application that support leadership growth across the sector. Learners will evaluate and examine their own workplace settings and develop personal insights and growth around leadership approaches and practice. 

Learning Outcomes

Evaluate emerging theories in leadership development and current practices in complex educational settings to develop leadership practice

Critically examine workplace psychology and wellbeing practices through emerging educational leadership approaches that inform personal leadership development
3.
Reflect on leadership practice to develop personal capabilities and contextual application that improves leadership practice.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
1. Application of theory and practice in advanced scholarship that examines the developments in educational leadership and educational organisations. 2. To explore leadership techniques and approaches in educational leadership and improve education outcomes across all aspects of society through ethical leadership approaches. 3. Review the 'future of work' from an educational leadership perspective. 4. Developing safety and intelligence in workforce psychology within educational settings.
Module Overview:
Through an active blended learning approach, this module introduces you to a breadth of leadership theories that apply to your own educational context and specialty. This innovative module reflectively connects workforce psychology and educational leadership to develop leader reflexivity, agency and key insights that contribute to improving both individual and organisational performance through a socially just mind-set.
