Aims

1, To enable the student to undertake a detailed study of a clearly defined legal topic, issue or problem. 2. During the research process, to increase knowledge of a selected subject area and develop a greater critical awareness. 3. Be able to present such findings in an appropriate form.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate conceptual understanding and evidence critical evaluation, current research and advanced scholarship in the areas of international corporate law and management.

Demonstrate the capacity to work independently and to professional standards and display high order skills in legal research and writing.
3.
Research effectively through a selection of appropriate theories, methodologies and techniques using primary and secondary materials.
4.
Formulate judgements and identify a range of possible solutions to a given problem.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
The module is an independent research project under the supervision of an academic with specialist knowledge within the specialist subject area.
Module Overview:
This module's objectives are to have students conduct an in-depth study of a specific legal topic, issue, or problem, enhancing their knowledge and critical thinking skills during the research process. Students will then present their findings appropriately in an independent research project, supervised by a subject area specialist academic.
Additional Information:
The module content is based around a negotiated topic area following discussions with tutors and introduced at a preliminary stage in the Research Methods module as a Research Proposal. This particular version of the module forms the pathway to the MSc award for the programme.
