This module provides the opportunity to prepare for a full-time professional rehearsal process, meeting the expectations and standards of such scenarios, and rising to execute the qualities and calibre required in professional performance production. Your actor’s process will be honed now to a professional standard as you undertake independent research practices, undergo costume and wardrobe fittings, creative rehearsals across a full-time process, work with other creatives, technicians and crew in technical rehearsals, and demonstrate your ability to repeat and recreate performance to public audiences. The trinity of interdisciplinary acting, movement and voice skills is core to the module delivery, including professional practice.
Module Overview:
In this module you will work with professional theatre-makers, including students from other courses, to realise an original live public production. You will reach professional standards and expectations, working independently to research and prepare for the rehearsal process and meet the vision of your director and creative team. You will exercise your ability to demonstrate technical aptitude, professionalism, organisation and time management skills, an understanding of professional profiling and the repetition and recreation of work via performance technique.
