Aims

This module will develop from the key ideas and practices encountered through L5 sound recording & production modules, and is primarily intended to support students who are undertaking significant music production projects as part of their L6 Final Portfolio work. We will encourage students to develop a strong commercial approach to composition, arranging and production that draws on established musical principles and contemporary professional practice.

Arrange the structure and instrumentation in their production so that it conforms to professional stylistic approaches evident in the genre.

Create a production sound design that is interesting, displays some originality and meets professional standards in the genre (incl. sound selection, layering & editing).
