Aims
The aims of the module are to:
1. Experience professional level working practices, in a set of rigorous and intensive rehearsal periods and public performances in a variety of contexts.
2. Combine and portray knowledge, technique, and personal creative choices in response to a variety of directorial approaches.
3. Promote pre-professional levels of supportive and collaborative practice.
Learning Outcomes

Prepare and depict a range of sophisticated acting techniques in response to a variety performance projects and contexts, both in rehearsal and public performance.

Prepare and depict a sophisticated range of movement and voice techniques in response to a variety performance projects and contexts in rehearsal and performance
3.
Demonstrate pre-professional ability to work autonomously, and collaboratively to meet the requirements of a project and in response to a variety of creative approaches.
4.
Integrate an effective range of methodologies for critical self-reflection for creative processes and socially engaged artistic practice.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The module comprises three simulated professional performance projects. Each student will have a substantial role in at least one of the productions and will have secondary roles in the others.
Each production will be treated as if it were a professional production, and it is expected that the students will adopt professional working practices. The productions will be directed by members of the IAB full-time staff or visiting professional directors. During the module the students will be expected to bring together all their previous studies and demonstrate their capacity to apply their personal and professional approach to performance.
Production 3 (AS3) will be the creation of a new piece of theatre using contemporary storytelling forms using existing, adapted, or generated material.
Additional Information:This module equips students with the skills and experience of working and performing in a range of simulated professional performances.
There will be 3 assessed performance projects.
