Aims
In this module you will apply a comprehensive knowledge of project/production management and realisation, as well as industry audition and interview processes, identifying casting range, personal-profiling, presentation and the showcasing of individual skills. This module presents links with Production I, II and III and Artistic Practice III.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Critically examine interrelationships in live/recorded media performance forms and implement key techniques in the creation and management of a production/performance event
2.
Produce advanced imaginative interdisciplinary collaborations and evaluate professional working relationships, networks and problem-solving
3.
Measure and rise to challenging working pressures, set goals/targets, assess risk factors and negotiate positive outcomes
4.
Examine digital industry profiling and self-promotion techniques utilising interdisciplinary and technological/digital skills to maximise spectator impact
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This module offers you two separate but complimentary avenues in which to advance and enhance your professional development.
Firstly, you are encouraged to improve your entrepreneurial and project/production management skills with cross-modular links to Artistic Practice III. You will assume a practical production role in the creation of a project, as part of work created in Artistic Practice III. You may work in small groups/production companies, with responsibilities and roles dedicated to specific individuals in order to achieve the successful realisation of a performance/production event.
Complimenting this event, and with links to The Actor's Performance: Production I, II and III, you are expected to create and sustain entrepreneurial professional promotion and profiling, including:
• Actor's showreel
• Website
• Promotional tools
• Audition & interview technique
You will also reflect on digital/technological platforms and initiatives, uncovering new and inventive methods of self-promotion and industry marketing, detailing your skillset, transferrable disciplines and the necessary attributes that contribute to a positive and vibrant portfolio career.
