Aims
The aims of the module are to:
Extend understanding of professional practices and enhance their knowledge of the sector they wish to enter.
Enable the creation of an inspiring and practical career development plan that in-corporates professional, career, and academic ambitions.
Explore current industry practices and standards to enable the students to create suitable and targeted promotional material.
Prepare appropriate audition materials and provide opportunities to engage with simulated real life audition scenarios.

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Audition Material and Technique
Students will develop and refine their practical skills in the preparation for, and the execution of professional auditions both in person and in self-tapes. This will include developing a knowledge of professional practices and (where appropriate) the selection of suitable audition material. The students will be assessed in a simulated audition situation. The students will record their chosen material in a professional studio for their show reel.
Promotional Material
Students will be guided in the development of self-promotional material that meet industry standards.
Building on from their previous studies at level 4 and 5 students will also follow a short lecture programme exploring.

Additional Information:The module provides the student with pre-professional knowledge of career and professional development skills and prepares them to showcase those skills to industry professionals.
Assessment is via a career plan and participation in a specified audition scenario.
