Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This module presents a continuation and development of the working pressures, challenges and demands examined in Production I, including the acquired skills in post-production from Production II, and tests the actor's autonomy as an auteur. You will assume full responsibility for your own process and production work to meet professional standards, tested through self-governed responsibility and inter-personal engagement with collaborators, material and self-promotion in order to interact with the industry.
This may involve performance, scriptwriting, directing, camera skills, post-producing, among other roles. In this module, autonomy and responsibility for all aspects of the production process falls on the actor. Simulating industry scenarios, your work will be included as part of your Digital Portfolio and will be presented to public audiences both online and at specific screenings. Following the production, you are expected to analyse and assess your application of research process, professionalism and overall performance techniques in an evaluative Viva.
Students may substitute this production with professional activities provided they are deemed to be of equivalence, and that students are able to meet learning outcomes. In such cases, an appointed mentor will liaise with external companies or agencies to oversee parity of assessment.
