Aims

To provide students with an understanding of the history, nature and effectiveness of international law; its principal doctrines; the actors and bodies involved in the development and enforcement of international law; and to encourage reasoned, critical analysis and debate of contemporary issues within international law.

Additional Information:The module is designed to provide a comprehension of contemporary world affairs, and the role played by international law in the resolution of contemporary conflicts and disputes, as well as the challenges faced by international law in the modern geopolitical climate.
