Aims
To develop the ability of students to analyse and interpret a complex body of legal knowledge in a coherent manner and to present high order legal research and writing skills.
Learning Outcomes

Identify a valid research question.

Conduct the independent research necessary to answer that question.
3.
Synthesize and critically analyse the research materials into an argument framed by their question.
4.
Present that synthesis in a coherently structured way.

Module Overview:
This Dissertation module allows you to undertake an extended look at a legal subject of interest to you. You will develop the ability to analyse and interpret a complex body of legal knowledge in a coherent manner and to present high order legal research and writing skills.

Additional Information:The Dissertation module will allow students to undertake and extended look at a legal subject of interest to them, to locate within the existing body of literature, and to conduct independent research, producing a written argument.
Students will submit a draft idea in the year prior to study and a supervisor identified.
Each successful proposal will be allocated a supervisor and full support will be available throughout the process.
