Critically analyse contemporary legal issues from the standpoint of jurisprudence

Identify the major schools of thought in jurisprudence and the differences and debates between them

Understand the nature and functions of law and the concept of a legal system as perceived by the major schools of jurisprudence and the nexus between law and morality

Outline Syllabus:Natural Law and Morality, Legal Positivism, Legal Realism, Law and Social Theory, Theories of Justice, Rights, Legal Obedience, Critical Legal Theory and Feminist Legal Theory
