Aims

The module aims to provide a contextualised awareness and understanding of the professional and ethical standards required in practice and evaluate the roles and responsibilities of professionals within the property industry.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Critically evaluate the ethical and regulatory responsibilities incumbent on a real estate practitioner.
2.
Demonstrate the understanding and application of professional duties and responsibilities in responding effectively to client instructions.
3.
To critically appraise the core skills underpinning real estate management and demonstrate their application in practice.
4.
Critically appraise and distinguish real estate dispute resolution methods and exercise appropriate judgment in the provision of balanced recommendations.

This module provides you with a contextualised awareness and understanding of the professional and ethical standards required in practice. You will evaluate the roles and responsibilities of professionals within the property industry.
Additional Information:The module explores the guidelines and regulations that underpin professional practice, promoting students' awareness and understanding of the property sector and the nature of professional work undertaken by a real estate practitioner. In this module, the knowledge learning outcomes are K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K8, K9, K17, K18, the behaviours learning outcomes are B1, B2, B3 and the skills learning outcomes are S1, S2, S4, S5, S14.
