2. Explore areas of current debate within the contemporary English-speaking publishing world.
3. Reflect on the significance of the circumstances of production informing contemporary texts.
4. Reflect on the position of the writer within contemporary society.

The module equips students to understand texts in relation to current debates and conditions in the contemporary publishing industry.
