Aims
1. To identify and explore an agreed thematic topic relating to art history and museology.
2. To co-ordinate research in the context of the aims and objectives of the Symposium.
3. To extend and enhance presentation skills.
4. To enhance collaborative and peer evaluation skills.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Work collaboratively to organise and host a Symposium, co-ordinate roles and responsibilities.
2.
Select and present ideas relating to the Symposium theme with the application of appropriate methodologies in the presentation of individual papers.
3.
Demonstrate enhanced presentation skills with appropriate visual aids.
4.
Research and write a paper that demonstrates critical abilities.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The syllabus will include instruction in: how to present research in the context of a symposium; how to devise an overall theme to the event; organisation and management of the event; devising roles and responsibilities; peer evaluation of roles and responsibilities.

This module will identify and explore an agreed thematic topic relating to art history and museology to co-ordinate research in the context of the aims and objectives.
This module will identify and explore an agreed thematic topic relating to art history and museology to co-ordinate research in the context of the aims and objectives.
Additional Information:This module offers students the opportunity to work collaboratively in order to devise, design and host a Symposium at Tate Liverpool or at another arts organisation. Students present their own research papers in the context of a group theme or set of themes.
