The module explores the use of exercise as a preventive or treatment strategy for cardiovascular conditions, and examines current inequalities in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. .

Learning Outcomes

1.
Critically evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic ability of various cardiovascular and exercise physiology assessment tools employed in clinical or research practice
2.
Analyse and interpret results from cardiovascular and clinical exercise assessments.
3.
Critically evaluate the pathophysiology of cardiovascular conditions, their impact on exercise response and how exercise can be used to treat conditions.
