Aims
The module aims to apply student's skills and knowledge to work in applied practice through a programme sourced group placement and supervision processes akin to that of professional training. The module is primarily delivered through placement activity and supervision seminars and will allow the student to develop group working skills, product development related to applied sport psychology practice and develop reflective narrative skills.
Learning Outcomes

Design an effective group based product appropriate to that set for the placement and client group

Critically appraise the design, delivery and impact of the applied sport psychology provision for the client group

Demonstrate ability to reflect on placement experience, skills and knowledge relevant to applied sport psychology practice
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This module is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply and develop their theoretical knowledge and applied practice skills by engaging in a group work related learning project. Learning/activity will be structured through a group learning agreement, placement activity, supervision tutorials and evaluated by the completion of a group and an individual assessment tasks. This module places significant emphasis on group tutorials with the academic placement supervisor to facilitate the student learning experience. This module contributes to the development of graduate teamwork / interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information:Students will engage in a group placement under supervision from staff who have expertise in such settings. Students who have not completed the PP01 form (this a flow-diagram audit check-list that will guide you the student through the process) in semester one via 6101SPOPSY will not be eligible to undertake a placement. Placements will be available across a variety of setting and supervision will be akin to that of professional training frameworks.
