6024MPHARM-SEP-CTY
Aims
To provide students with the skills to solve complex pharmaceutical problems that a pharmacist is expected to perform to (1) design and verify the safety of doses and treatments and (2) determine saving and costs for items/patients/treatments/organisation over periods of time
Learning Outcomes
1.
Apply suitable equations to solve clinically relevant complex problems
2.
Extract the relevant data from clinical scenarios to solve problems related to dose/treatment design.
3.
Demonstrate the ability to use patient/drug data to solve pharmacokinetic problems.
4.
Identify the most economically viable treatment with appropriate calculations.

Additional Information:
This module is for summative assessment only. All learning, formative assessment and feedback for this assessment are included in the content module 6000MPHARM, underpinned by learning from 5000MPHARM and 4000MPHARM.
To ensure the programme aligns to the GPhC commitment to patient safety, any serious concerns that are identified within the assessment will be reviewed by a panel of pharmacists. If the concern raised is deemed to pose a risk to patient safety, the student will FAIL the assessment, even if they have achieved the required pass score.
Students must be successful in the module to progress to the next level of study.
No compensation, no trailing.
