Aims

This module will support students in developing their employability and entrepreneurship skills. It is designed to provide students with an opportunity to respond to an employer's 'live' brief that will address a contemporary issue facing the current sport business industry that their host belongs to.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Develop and select project and personal outcomes relevant to the selected project brief and future graduate development needs.
2.
Critically evaluate and synthesise a range of information to successfully complete the selected project brief.
3.
Produce a professional report that showcases the end-product of the project.
4.
Complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities aligned to a structured career plan.

Module Overview:
This module will support students in developing their employability and entrepreneurship skills. It is designed to provide students with an opportunity to respond to an employer's 'live' brief that will address a contemporary issue facing the current sport business industry that their host belongs to.
Additional Information:
This module will showcase the student's ability to manage their own learning and development as the module has a strong focus on independent work. It will require the students to undertake a project and complete additional CPD opportunities that they will choose themselves, aligned to future career aspirations. CPD opportunities are undertaken as independent study and supported by workshops and online contact. Students will negotiate a project with the module team that will either be with an external host or an industry relevant feasibility study and will be expected to produce a professional end product for the host organisation.
