Aims

To enable students to develop the skills necessary to plan and execute a systematic review.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Identify research problems using material from a range of sources.
2.
Critically analyse the implications of key research methods for investigating practice-related problems.
3.
Critically evaluate the implications of research findings and identify strategies for potential change in practice.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Group tutorials: searching for literature; reviewing literature; systematic reviews; individual tutorials: as negotiated with the student.
Module Overview:
The aim of the module is to enable you to develop the skills necessary to plan and execute a systematic review.
Additional Information:This module allows the registered nurse to demonstrate research knowledge and critical analysis skills through the preparation of a dissertation on a topic relevant to their professional practice. The students are directed by the module lead and their profession specific advisor from the team.
