Aims

The course aims to equip the student to undertake practical research in the area of Applied Chemistry and to be able to present the research orally and in written form.

Learning Outcomes

Design, develop and carry out a major research project.

Communicate and critically defend research material orally.
3.
Produce a detailed research report.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Planning and design of experimentation; literature searching and evaluation; statistics; practical chemistry.
Module Overview:
This module allows you to undertake a 10-week project in an aspect of Applied Chemistry, supervised by a member of academic staff. Consistent interaction with the staff member and supplied teaching will develop your transferable skills required in research. At the end of the module you will present your research orally and in written form.
