Outline Syllabus:Movement Students will develop the concepts and ideas surrounding physical theatre movement and physicality in performance. The module will explore elements of physical theatre and of formal structured dance technique. The module will develop in the students an understanding of the integrated nature of physical movement in expression and physical story telling. The end of the module will culminate in the creation of a piece of movement theatre, which will be performed in front of a selected audience. Students will also be asked to explore the holistic nature of performance and integrate physicality into performance. Voice Building from their prior experience students will develop their voice through its application to a broader and more complex range of text based material including heightened, verse and poetic text, and the exploration of the voice for other media.
