Aims

To provide students with an understanding of the law relating to wills, intestacy, the administration of estates of deceased persons and the practical and technical application of that law.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Show a solid grounding in the basic concepts and principles of the law of succession.
2.
Ascertain and evaluate the relevant facts contained in unfamiliar scenarios and apply knowledge to probate problems and/or theoretical questions of succession law.
3.
Solve practical problems arising from the administration of an estate.
4.
Select and address key legal and factual issues from a variety of given and non-given sources.
