Module Content
Outline Syllabus:In this module, the students will study the styles of dance most relevant to a career in modern musical theatre. Students will attend classes in musical theatre jazz, isolation technique and musical theatre repertoire (dance). The aim is to improve technical dance skills, pick up speed, accuracy, attack, and coordination. There will be a strong focus on performance style and presentation skills. Students will be exposed to new choreography to improve pick up skills, as well as a strong technical foundation in jazz dance.
Additional Information:The module will enable students to understand a range of dance styles most relevant to musical theatre performance. Assessment takes the form of a presentation.
