Aims

1. Explore the various means of delivering broadcasts;
2. Generate ideas for advertisement to be broadcast on radio and television;
3. Examine budgetary issues in relation to production;
4. Learn about scheduling and trafficking;
5. Develop professional skills in blending multiple software applications to develop a particular outcome, which will be linked to the further process of production;
6. Gain an understanding of the concept of broadcast advertising and its nuances;
7. Become proficient in techniques of video capture, audio design, video editing and audio editing using appropriate software.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
You will explore and experiment with multiple audio-visual software applications to gain a critical understanding of how they can be exploited to generate innovative broadcast advertisements.
Through practical exercises you will learn how to generate advertisements and how to broadcast them to a targeted audience.
You will learn about audio and video management and manipulation, capture, recording, editing and manipulating.
In addition, you will examine contemporary critical issues within the field of broadcasting, including the broadcaster audience relationship, censorship, regulations, licencing and ethics.
Additional Information:
In this module you will explore the latest multi-facetted production technologies and techniques as employed in delivering broadcast advertising.
