Aims
1. Explore and experiment with advance techniques of compositing and other postproduction techniques as used in the visual effects industry;
2. Acquire and develop your skills in blending multiple software applications to develop a desired outcome;
3. Experience implementing a designed outcome through all stages of the production process;
4. Use multi-pass rendering, CG compositing, 360-degree video, mono, and stereo applications and technologies;
5. Practice the effective application of the various techniques explored in this module to a variety of footage.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Demonstrate knowledge and a critical understanding of specialist post-production processes and of advanced CG compositing and editing techniques.
2.
Distinguish and differentiate between technologies and be able to make calculated decisions on which one is most suited to achieve a specific outcome.
3.
Critically analyse and demonstrate competence in using layers and multi-pass rendering.
