Aims
Aim(s) of the module is intended to provide learners with a basic understanding of professionalism in the healthcare industry and understanding of the relevance and importance of marketing, quality standards and processes and a comprehensive understanding of principles for successful management of organisations within the healthcare industry. It is further intended that the learner will familiarise standards and ethics regulated by various professional bodies in the industry in differing contexts and various scales of projects and to introduce management procedures used in the Hospital environment.
Learning Outcomes

Identify & recognise the requirement for professional development in the healthcare industry.
2.
Evaluate the structure and functioning of hospitals with available health services and examine the marketing principles and processes used within the healthcare industry.
3.
Examine and demonstrate the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of measuring, recording, monitoring, imaging and therapeutic equipment.
4.
Apply transdisciplinary skills & knowledge to problem solve and improve professionalism within a team.
