Aims
1. Gain a critical understanding of the importance of the UI-UX design in any application and how a poorly designed user interface will affect the user experience;
2. Acquire a discerning knowledge of UI-UX design and development principles and theories;
3. Explore user design principles and processes;
4. Gain an understanding of service design;
5. Explore related issues and activities that impact on the delivery of user experiences;
6. Reflect, compare and analyse various UI-UX designs and applications;
7. Explore and experiment with the different design processes employed in delivering UI-UX.

Distinguish and differentiate the range of tools, techniques and processes relied upon to deliver professional UI-UX applications.

Outline Syllabus:
During the module you will discuss and debate contemporary issues of ethics and values which you will need to negotiate when designing and developing user interfaces and experiences.
You will study examples of UI-UX design and applications and critically examine how they affect positively or negatively the user experience.
Methodologies and techniques for ensuring UI-UX experiences meet target audience expectations will be explored.
You will explore the various circumstances in which a UI-UX is delivered in both a real and virtual world situation.
