Aims
1. Gain experience in collaborating within a team and identifying the resources offered by others;
2. Managing your own work and integrating it with that of others;
3. Appreciate the importance of allocating tasks to appropriate individuals;
4. Learn to work as a team to solve problems;
5. Learn to work as a team to resolve issues;
6. Experience risk taking and scenario planning;
7. Experience time management and project management issues; and
8. Identify your own strengths and weaknesses and learn how to navigate both
Learning Outcomes

Apply knowledge, skills and critical understanding in using a range of professional skills, software applications, techniques, practices, processes and production techniques

Deliver a collaborative project that demonstrates professional competence in applying your specialist knowledge and skills in support of the project.

Undertake critical analysis, scoping and evaluation of ideas and concepts and draw on a range of sources to make judgements and critical choices that you are subsequently able to communicate to others.

Practice in a manner that respects the roles and responsibilities of others in a professional team context.

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:
You will form partnerships and/or teams which will include students having studied different specialism to you. This combination will enable you and others to benefit from the knowledge and understanding of those working in different but closely related fields.
Current working practices require designers to work in teams and in collaboration with other professionals in order to deliver complex solutions to complex problems and this module will introduce you to the opportunities and challenges in working collaboratively.
The collaborative project will provide the opportunity to experience delivering and receiving criticism in a positive manner and will enable you to expand on your ability to apply intellectual debate and discussion in resolving issues around team working and design delivery and implementation.
You will determine or decide on a brief collectively and work to research, ideate, design and implement an innovative solution.
