Aims
Aim(s) of the module is to introduce and develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles, procedures & applications of commercial management, law & legislation which applies to the local & international construction industry.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Analyse the nature, types, legal principles and requirements of construction contract for building and civil engineering works in both local and international context.
2.
Develop a comprehensive understanding about standard commercial management practice and project administration procedure applies in different type of construction contracts.
3.
Analyse the basic concepts, principles and procedures of law and legislation in standard construction practice.
4.
Demonstrate a clear understanding about the principles of Alternative Dispute Resolution and litigation in relation to the contract industry.
