Aims

To provide a basis for basic elements of professional conduct and clinical legal education, and provide a basis for delivering the delivery of legal services with appropriate supervision and reflecting upon the experience.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate skills in client interviewing, advocacy, case and matter analysis, legal research, drafting.
2.
Conduct a client interview in a clinical setting with appropriate supervision.
3.
Critically reflect on legal services undertaken in the context of a university law clinic.

Module Overview:
This module enables you to understand the basic elements of professional conduct and clinical legal education. You will demonstrate skills in client interviewing, advocacy, case and matter analysis, legal research, and drafting. You will conduct a client interview in a clinical setting (via our Legal Advice Centre) with appropriate supervision and develop the skills to critically reflect on legal services undertaken in the context of a university law clinic.
