Aims

To develop understanding of the property development process including planning controls on development To develop professional and personal skills associated with entrepreneurialism.

Learning Outcomes

Undertake site analysis and market research to investigate and evaluate development potential.

Analyse and evaluate the impact of constraints and opportunities including financial, legal, environmental and planning policy on a development project.
3.
Demonstrate understanding of the entrepreneurial process and the creation of innovative solutions to industry problems.

Outline Syllabus:The property development process Development appraisal: site analysis and environmental impact considerations Development and Planning; planning policy and planning application process Development feasibility and commercial viability Financing property development Property market research & marketing Concept design drawings, options and presentation of proposal Entrepreneurialism and the role of the chartered architectural technologist as an entrepreneur
