Aims

Students will be provided with the opportunity to undertake a work placement in a specific setting relevant to their future career choice. The module will build upon the student's PDP and provide opportunities for them to reflect upon their own development and future work related targets

Outline Syllabus:Professional Development Portfolio - where are you now? (PDP) Writing an effective CV Setting personal goals From theory to practice in the workplace Safeguarding and safer working practice Professional conduct Placement related sessions Roles and responsibilities Management and organisation within the placement or project Workshop skills/ teaching and learning

Additional Information:Work Related Learning (WRL) is essential to give reality and relevance to studies. It facilitates current and future employment opportunities. It must be of practical value to the WRL agency.
