Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Students will be introduced to a variety of topics in applied psychology, for example related to crime and conflict (e.g., terrorism and the media, psychological approaches to crime prevention), risky health behaviours (e.g., in relation to sex, drugs, or smoking), or the online world (e.g., cybercrime, the digital self). They will have the opportunity to explore issues of particular real-world and contemporary relevance in lecture, tutorial and workshop settings. Students will be encouraged to discuss their own lived experience and bring their own perspectives to bear on the issues at hand in the small group tutorials. These tutorials will also focus on the continued development of academic skills such as critical writing and evaluation.
