Aims
1. To support students to identify, examine and propose areas of research interest in preparation for further research and self-directed study at Level 6.
2. To support students to formulate, present and justify a research proposal.
3. To identify appropriate methods for documenting and presenting a variety of graphic work online.
4. To support students to recognise the relationship between portfolio presentation and their practice.
Learning Outcomes

Propose, formulate and justify a self-directed research project within the context of Level 6 pathway disciplines.

Develop an online portfolio that reflects their personal practice, professional development and career aspirations.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:1. Research proposal workshops (culture mapping and ideation, surveying and reviewing a field of interest, formulating a question, developing an action plan).
2. Web portfolio skills (documenting work, identifying and evaluating approaches for developing a web presence, customising off-the-peg design solutions, writing personal statements and project description).
