Aims

To examine the key issues relating to social and educational inclusion. To consider policy and provision against the background of developments in educational policy. Students will be encouraged to consider the issues pertinent to their own workplace in relation to the inclusion agenda.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Identify the groups and individuals at risk of exclusion Legislation and policy Analysis of groups currently excluded from mainstream schooling Inclusion: the 'socially excluded'.
Module Overview:
This module focuses on the inclusive institution within an inclusive society. It will encompass issues regarding equality of opportunity and disability awareness. It will consider those who are currently excluded and examine current policy. There will be opportunities to consider discrete issues related to phase or sector.
